Another great plant from our cactus friend Don Campbell.  The reddish-green pads are completely cloaked in stunning red spines.  The big, cup-shaped pink flowers are abundant in June.  This plant received much acclaim in our display gardens.  It grows slowly so we don't often have it available.  Provide full sun and excellent drainage.  10" high x 36" wide.  Zone 5. Sold as an unrooted pad cutting.
