A "lovely" new wild selection from the Nebraska/Colorado border. The huge, deep gold flowers with red centers open as widely as a poppy!  Juicy, red fruits persist well into the winter.  The low, bright green stems form polite plants that don't take over the whole garden.  It's a very hardy variety.  8" high x 30" wide.  Zone 4. Sold as a rooted pad in 2.5" Pots.
