A gorgeous form of Strawberry Hedgehog that is a variant of the regular form. Very spiny species with very long, dark central spines. The spines on the lower portion of the plant turn almost black giving it a unique appearance. Forms large plants with numerous heads. 4-8" high and wide. Huge fuchsia flowers in May with prominent green stigmas form large, DELICIOUS spiny fruits. Hardy to zone 5b. Coconino Co., AZ. Sold in a 2.5" pot.
