Strawberry Pitaya is unbelievable, with its long, golden spines shimmering in the evening sun.  This Pitaya makes a beautiful garden specimen growing into large plants 2-3 feet across with numerous heads.  The huge fuchsia-pink, silky flowers have a gorgeous red center.  The very large, fragrant fruits ripen mid-summer and smell like strawberries.  It's one of our favorite cactus fruits.  Hardy to zone 6 or 7.  Sold in 2.5-inch pots.
